I spent quite a bit of time on the day this book arrived reading the Celtic inspired poems and some of the Hellenic inspired ones. If you haven't got this poetry book you should. In "From The Prow of Myth" San Francisco poet and writer, Michael Routery casts his spell over the English language, turning words into magical wine. The gods and goddesses of ancient worlds, come to life, and on every page natures' charms burst forth, exhaling a haunting, lyrical elixir.
Mr Routery has obviously put considerable study into his subjects and it makes for great poetic history reading. i am a little bit familiar with the Irish names, but a glossary of pronunciations would have been a fun addition. I think this will make a great gift item for even the novice poetry buff.
